We have introduced the 30 June application deadline this year to help us prioritise the applications of those individuals who have applied early for courses lasting one academic year or more (excluding higher education courses and courses for international students).
This deadline is necessary as it gives us the chance to assess these applications properly and invite applicants in for a course consultation and/or assessment (if necessary). Applicants who have been successful will receive letters advising them when to come in to enrol.
Many of our shorter courses do not have an application deadline, which means individuals can apply all year round.
Don’t worry if you don’t manage to submit your application by 30 June – you may still be able to secure a place on your chosen course, please call 0800 068 8585 (option 2) to find out if there still places on your course.
Many of our main centres will be open for information, advice and guidance on Wednesdays from 14 July until 18 August from 10am until 6.30pm. Call our Course Enquiry Team on 0800 068 8585 (option 2) to find out which of our centres are offering this service.
Our main enrolment period for adults is during the two week period from 31 August through to 10 September (not to be confused with the enrolment period for 16-19 year olds which is from 24 August through to 3 September).
Opening hours
To enrol you must attend the site where your course is studied, unless advised otherwise. Please allow a minimum of two hours for enrolment and be sure to bring with you anything that may be of importance, for example evidence of previous qualifications.
Sites open for main enrolment include
Please note, some of our courses are extremely popular so please call our Course Enquiry Team on 0800 068 8585 to check availability before you turn up to enrol. Our friendly advisors will also be able to confirm the location and price of the course and supply you with directions to the campus you need to attend for enrolment should you need them.
Cheques are accepted and should be made payable to The Manchester College. You can also pay with cash, a credit card or debit card.
In some circumstances, the college offers a facility to students who pay their own fees to enable them to spread the cost of their course over an instalment plan. The first instalment will be due at enrolment and subsequent instalments will be paid by monthly direct debit, so you will need your bank details, your cheque book or credit card when enrolling. A small charge is made for this service on any balance after the initial payment has been made. Please note that all tuition fees must be paid in full by the end of the first term of your course.
Please note the college operates a no refund policy.
The Manchester College may be able to waive your tuition fees on certain courses if you are in receipt of one of the following benefits:
If you are entitled to fee remission, you will need to provide proof of this at enrolment, with your payment book, your Giro (or a photocopy), proof of payment into a bank account, or an appropriate letter from the agency awarding you the benefit.

If you are not successful in applying for your course this year, you can always ensure your application is in early for next year. You will be able to apply for courses starting in September 2011 from 13 September 2010.
Our main enrolment period for 16 – 19 year olds is from 31st August through to 10th September 2010.
You should attend the site where you will be studying your course. Please allow a minimum of two hours for enrolment and be sure to bring with you your GCSE results and record of achievement.
