The Music Department nurtures creativity and talent with its excellent rehearsal, live performance and production facilities.

We offer courses, ranging from diplomas to foundation degrees and bachelor’s degrees, in

Our courses are based at the Centre for Music and the Shena Simon Campus in the city centre, and the Openshaw Campus in east Manchester. Facilities at our Centre for Music and Shena Simon Campus include rehearsal rooms and recording studios, equipped with instruments, music mixing/recording equipment and DJ mixing booths. The Openshaw Campus has a sheltered outdoor amphitheatre – The Amp – which is a venue for students' live performances, as well as state-of-the-art recording and rehearsal studios.
